Edit Settings of all Tools at once!

How often do you grab a selection of Elements and want to change all their Layers to a different one - or set all the colors to be the same? And then the frustration when you realise only one element type (the last one randomly selected) will change?

Well, this does not have to be the case! Rather than using the Infobox or Element Settings (Line, Polyline etc), use the Edit Selection Set command…

To start, select all the Elements you wish to change the attributes of. In the example below there are Lines, Arc, Circles, Polylines and a Spline:


Once selected, go to Edit> Element Settings> Edit Selection Set… or click the button highlighted in the Infobox below:


The following dialog appears with four main areas:


  1. Change the Layer of all Elements

  2. Change the Pen of all Elements

  3. Change the Renovation options for all Elements (further options appear for 3D Elements)

  4. Summary of Selected and Editable Elements

In this case, with only a few clicks four different Element types can be changed to a new Layer with a single color:
