Find those elements, wherever they are!

Ken

This has to be one of the simplest and easiest commands in ARCHICAD - but one that is often overlooked… yet it is one of my personal favorites!

Direction Dependent Selection

Ken

Do you know how to select elements in ARCHICAD with the Direction Dependent Selection method?  This has been available for a number of versions and is a really useful option – but in the default installation, it is not activated, so you may not even be aware of it.

To activate Direction Dependent Selection, go to the Arrow Tool and click the first button in the Infobox as highlighted below:

“Getting started with Archicad was much easier because BIM6x was there to make the purchase easy. They continually provide support anytime I need it. If I have a question, they respond quickly. They seem to actually care about my company and my needs.”

“Chris and Link from BIM6x have been an incredible assistance and resource for our firm as we have implemented Archicad into our office workflow. Not only are they experts in the use and implementation of the software, they are also very enjoyable to work with. They are always quick to respond to any questions or issues that we may have ... and if they don’t have the answers (which is rare) they know where to send us to find them. Their technical support is by far the best that we have ever had in our industry and their development of the BIM6x Archicad Template Kits is a testament of their desire to see their clients succeed.”
