Find those elements, wherever they are!

Ken

This has to be one of the simplest and easiest commands in ARCHICAD - but one that is often overlooked… yet it is one of my personal favorites!

Direction Dependent Selection

Ken

Do you know how to select elements in ARCHICAD with the Direction Dependent Selection method?  This has been available for a number of versions and is a really useful option – but in the default installation, it is not activated, so you may not even be aware of it.

To activate Direction Dependent Selection, go to the Arrow Tool and click the first button in the Infobox as highlighted below:

“The decision to adopt ARCHICAD as our company’s only BIM modeling platform was the best decision I ever made! Not only do we produce professional three-dimensional details and artistic construction documents, we are able to quickly update the drawings anytime a revision occurs. Graphisoft provides best-in-class support and has been very responsive to our needs.”

"Chris and Link provide tremendous customer service and technical support. We run a small office in a small city, so our training opportunities are largely limited to online videos and tutorials. Chris and Link provided personalized training on a recent visit to our office, which has helped us take the next step in productivity. Using ARCHICAD on MAC computers is a no-brainer for us - especially with BIM6x supporting us so thoroughly."
